With blogs like Food Babe and documentaries such as Food Inc., the conversation surrounding the food system estequiometria has reach levels never before seen. Scientists are fed up with the one-sided, short-sighted story that s out there about food, said Cathy Kapica, CEO at The Awegrin Institute, who moderated an interactive panel discussion A Filmmaker s Perspective: FutureFood 2050 Panel Discussion estequiometria on Monday afternoon. This was partially the impetus for the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) to launch its FutureFood 2050 program. The program, which is part of IFT s 75th anniversary celebration, aims to create a broad dialogue on how science will deliver solutions needed to feed the world s nine billion people by the year 2050.
Josh estequiometria Schonwald, awarding-winning author, is a member of a team of editors estequiometria working on a series of 75 articles based on interviews with food science leaders around the world that will be published on FutureFood2050.com throughout the year. Unfortunately, the reality is that there are many well-intentioned people but they have a reflexively estequiometria negative view of any and all science and technology in food, said Schonwald at the event. However, he believes we can change that with the FutureFood 2050 program.
Kapica and Schonwald were joined on the panel by Academy-Award-nominated director Scott Hamilton Kennedy who is working on a documentary funded solely by IFT aiming at bringing the voice of scientists estequiometria to the world. Kennedy remarked that he was humbled and honored to be chosen to direct the documentary, after all there couldn t be a more universal subject than food and also no more of a controversial estequiometria subject, said Kennedy. Kennedy screened a teaser of the film, which is tentatively titled Food Evolution. The documentary is scheduled to be completed next year.
Kapica opened up the discussion to questions from the attendees and it was apparent from their comments that many are excited that the documentary film is being made to finally see science and scientists represented in the food dialog.

As one of the First Woman to graduate with a Ph.D., from Food Science Department, I would like to participate in Future Food 2050 program. My Experiences in the United Nations Organizations (FAO, UNIDO UNDP UNEP, US-AID and the World Bank in Food Sector would uniquly qualify me to bring about to the Fututure Food 2050 a Global prospectives. My compasion is Hunger, Posthavest and Food waste. In the World of of pemty. to have one out Seven eight or ten of the World population is hungry is a major violation to the righht to Food.
